Ever used or heard of TSearch?
« on: October 16, 2007, 05:41:09 am »
Have you ever heard of or used TSearch? I found it over the weekend after somebody mentioned it here and I have used it to hack into about 7 games so far. I changed height and speed in Flight Sim X and it crashed lol. I fixed it but it was funny. Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon were fun because there was so many things to change, money, ratings, dates, number of people in the park [not sprites]. CnC 3 was also hacked. money, defence, ammo values were changed.
I also hacked some lesser Java/Flash games and I have a vid of it.

Does anybody know of a program that can find and/or change number of sprites of, for example, balls in a pong game?

Made a vid, asking if i can post [.avi] but even with the win rar, its 2mb

No idea what language it is. Its user freindly but its not a programmable program in the same way that SCAR is. the only thing you have to do is search [its not manual =)] for the number you want to edit or stop from changing.

tsearch is a simple program that followed the likes of artmoney. a program that for all intents and purposes is identical to tsearch. what these programs do is search the memory allocated to the game by your os, for a value that you define. it will take anywhere from a second to several minutes depending on the value and the kind of search. so for example say i was playing starcraft and i wanted to give myself lots of money. so i look at the amount i have and type it in. then i have a worked get me a little more. i then filter for the values that matched what i first typed in but have just changed to the new number. you can do this filter process several times to really narrow down the right variable to change. you can then freeze it to that value so it can no longer change to anything else. i made it so i never have to reload in halo for pc. the program can also change client side rs values. (note his is for show only and wont really do anything but can make for some very interesting "official" inventory and bank shots with no photoshop required. hope this clears it up a bit.

I have not used it for RS and I dont plan to. I know that it does not do anything to the actual values of the stuff so why bother? i dont want to risk getting banned by doing some pointless shit like that.

what TSearch does is search for values in bit format such as points, lives, moves left.
For example, starting off with some amount of points [other than 0 because there's always about 1 million 0 values] like, say, 30. I search the program for values of 30. Then i change the value by getting more or losing points and then search through the previous search area for that number. Once it has been limited to 1-5 objects, i select them (or it) and lock it and try to change its value. Then i check to see if the values in game have changed or stopped changing.
You can then change it to your liking. Command and Conquer is one game that has several dozen values you can change: ammo, points/cash, but TSearch [as far as i know] can not change number of sprites, such as balls or tanks, in the games. I was search for a program that may be able to do this and have not found one.

I downloaded it too :P Changed my money, current power and required power in Command and Conquer: Generals.

I also changed money sums in some weird poker games against CPU.

I'm gonna find more.

The CnC series was my favorite to edit. There is so many things that you can change! I found out through a youtube tut. that you could change ammo in things like the SCUD, the planes, etc.

Almost any game can be edited. I was trying to do a game called IcyTower [jump up onto different lvls as high as you can go] and i could not change the actual score [may be written as display only or a function] but i did change the value of each lvl to make it tell the computer that i was jumping 50+ lvls at a time when i jumped single levels which gave me several million points

Did you find it easy to use?

Do you have a later CnC hobo? Like generals? Im sure TSearch will work with Red Alert, but i have only tryed Generals and Tiberium Wars. I need to get The First Decade.

Thats cool knives. You should make a vid of screwing Generals, i would but my comp freezes with TSearch, CnC, and Hypercam running at the same time.

yes, I have all of them (Except 3 for 360)
as I have The First Decade, but only RA2, Yuis Revenge, RA1 and it's other versions will work, my comp had to be reformatted a while ago, and I won't be able to do any needed upgrades for the other games until I get net access later in the month. or next month, first thing I'll be getting back is MSN and Messenger Plus! live  then AIM and then I'll be finding a way to send Unreal 1 from my dads to my moms,

He has the Firt Decade, I've never seen him with Tsearch. I have The First Decade, RA 2, Renegade, CnC 3, Tiberium Wars, Tiberium Wars Expansion, CnC Generals Demo. So I have doubles of some of the games with the demo of Generals and the full version. I haven't tried to Tsearchify it yet, I think I will try it on Starcraft :P.
